Anooshe Mussarat Weds Edmund Kissner
If there is any wedding to take inspo from this year it has to be Anooshe Musaraat’s, who married her beau Edmund Kissner in September. She blew us away with her stunning outfits and exquisite venues that stretched from Manchester to London (shout out to her incredible wedding planner who must have the best organisational skills on the planet). And can we just quickly mention that guest-list which included Hrithik Roshan, Karan Johar and Sonam Kapoor.
Lets start with the all-important outfits.
Anooshe favoured neutral tones throughout and kept it exciting by playing with different textures and structures.
The festivities kicked off at beautiful Tatton Park in Cheshire for the Mehndi function. Anooshe picked a neutral and gold outfit that gave us serious blouse envy, courtesy of Abu Jani Sandeep Khosla. We love the princess vibes here!
For the registration the next day, the crew headed down south to Claridges in London where we spotted her in a dreamy blush pink Ralph and Russo outfit finished off with pink Manolo Blahnikh’s. We love the change in texture here as she picked something a little silkier which gave the colour a slight metallic finish.
Anooshe knew to keep her guests happy and full (food is always the way to everyone’s heart, right?) as they were treated to a welcome dinner at upmarket Chinese restaurant Park Chinois. This was a perfect way to kickstart the weekend shenanigans.
For the big day (held at the iconic Dorchester Hotel in London) the bride chose couture Faraz Manaan. It boasted intricate embroidery from top to bottom and we love the off-the-shoulder blouse in particular. The jewellery was kept simple but powerful and eye-catching. The pop of green stood out against the dazzling outfit.
The wedding was finished off perfectly with a Sunday brunch at The Dorchester, where Anooshe picked another stunning outfit by Abu Jani Sandeep Khosla. This time she opted for something fun and playful but still gracious and elegant.
Let’s talk about décor…
The décor in each venue was a real feast for the eyes and gave us some serious inspo. Think regal floral arrangements, lavish ornaments and mood lighting which gave an appropriate ambience in each of the functions.
While the Mendhi function was thrown into shades of deep reds and oranges for a dramatic feel, brunch was kept light and airy with a jaw-dropping floral feature to welcome guests.
And speaking of flowers, we love that Anooshe chose a simple floral theme throughout (we spotted them on the tables at brunch used as beautiful centrepieces, and also at the reception dinner tables). Most importantly however, we love how they were creatively incorporated into the wedding cake too.
The guest-list was just as impressive as the wedding itself. Amongst the pricey champagne and decadent venues, there was a pretty cool game of Who’s Who happening (Anil Kapoor, Ranveer Singh and Suniel Shetty were spotted amongst others). Fashion darling Sonam Kapoor kept her followers updated on Instagram; check out her outfits here.
So, what did we learn from Anooshe’s wedding? Food is very important; good food equals happy guests! Don’t underestimate how stunning simple themes can be. And most importantly, tassels look awesome in mid-dance shots à la
